HARRISVILLE, W.Va. — Gary F. Wooddell, 27, Harrisville, was charged with no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident on Friday, July 9.

Wooddell was driving his 2006 Dodge Dakota on High Street in Harrisville when he went off the road and hit a street sign and a storage building, causing significant damage.

The defendant left the scene without notifying law enforcement or the property owner.

The incident was observed by two witnesses, and Wooddell’s driver side mirror was found at the scene.

For no insurance, the defendant could spend 15-90 days in jail, and/or be fined from $200 to $5,000.

For leaving the scene of an accident, the penalty is 10 days in jail, or a fine up to $100

Patrolman Bryan Casto, Harrisville Police Department, filed the citations.
