Marlin Therl Tingler, 77, of Walker, WV, went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021.

Known by all his hunting buddies as “Bear”, he was born June 23, 1943, in Ritchie County, WV, a son of the late Arlie and Dora (Wires) Tingler.  He retired from West Virginia Department of Highway with 36 years of service and worked as a mechanic in District 3.  He loved hunting deer, turkey and squirrels, and spending time in the woods with his brothers.

Surviving are his children, Jason (Doris) Tingler of Ravenswood, WV, Robbin Lowe of Walker, Eugene Watkins of Mississippi, Timothy Eddleblute of Parkersburg, WV, and Buffy Workman of Parkersburg; brothers, Marvin (Linda) Tingler of Warren, OH, Lawrence (Louella) Tingler of Newton Falls, OH, Michael Tingler of Parkersburg, Delmer Tingler of Petroleum, WV, and Lonnie (Janet) Tingler of Washington, WV; sisters, Dora Whitehair of Walker, Rosemary IcenHower of Vienna, WV, Charlotte (Thomas) Gant of Davisville, WV, and Marsha (Phillip) Carroll of Boaz, WV; and nine grandchildren.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a brother, Melvin Tingler.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
